Psychotherapy for people who feel uncertain or unhappy about their transition

Thinking about gender can be difficult with many different factors affecting people’s decision making – both internal desires and feelings and external pressures. Sometimes people can make a decision to transition, including making physical changes, and then have second thoughts. Unfortunately there are a so many pressures both towards and against transition that finding some space to think about things can be difficult.

As someone who is happy to make recommendations for physical treatments when appropriate, but who has also seen people who have had second thoughts about treatment they have received elsewhere, I am able to provide a neutral  psychotherapeutic space to consider things – while still retaining my expert knowledge of the field. Do let me know if you would like assistance.

Psychotherapy will usually consist of a single 50 minute session for us both to determine if we can work together well. If we feel that we can, then an agreement to undertake ten 50 minute sessions together before a review of progress would be expected.
